The Mind of Christ

I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God in Christ, and I have been given the Holy Spirit as a pledge guaranteeing my inheritance to come.

And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

(2 Corinthians 1:21-22) – In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)

We can not be trusted to not lose our salvation because if we could lose it we definitely would. We know that our hearts are desperately wicked and without Christ there is no good in us. That’s why Christ, rich in grace (unmerited favor) and mercy (not getting the punishment we deserve), guards our salvation for us. Our salvation is secure because Christ himself has attached himself to us!!!
